TECTONIC TIMBRE

Tectonic Timbre // Zac Trainor’s music sounds exactly like his most recent works look: ghostly, layered, + nostalgic. There’s a confident loneliness that lends the listener to self reflection. Negative space is as important as the synths, and the droning blending of textures leads to a meditative + peaceful state.

Their newest piece, ‘TRAUMA’, is a dialogue with traumatic events, reflection or exploration of the impact of trauma on individuals or communities, and the stages of grief that occur as a result. Drawing on not just personal, but collective moments, each track moves to communicate the complex and often intense emotions associated with processing trauma and how we carry that with us as we continue on in the world.
